Everything the eraser asks of your hand, printed the way we print bills. Two brushes share one dial, and the editor goes fullscreen when the edges get fiddly.
Cover the whole object and a little extra. Overshoot costs nothing, because the unpaint brush takes back any stroke you did not mean.
A 5px point traces a stray wire. An 80px sweep covers a whole person in a few passes. The dial runs the entire range in between.
When the target hides between railings or hair, take the editor fullscreen and let the small brush work at real size.
